Our Program

Our Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a foundational global initiative focused on developing talent for ION’s growing operations around the world. The program provides an opportunity for outstanding university graduates to start a career in a dynamic and fast‑paced global FinTech firm.

Analysts will spend the first 18 months of their career in three diverse, six‑month rotations covering a broad range of ION's core capabilities. At the end of their three rotations, analysts will transition to a deeper dive in one area of ION. Sample rotations / deep dives include:

  • Product Management
  • Client Support
  • Consulting and Delivery Services
  • Sales and Account Management

Analysts will spend their first rotation contributing through a role in their home office. However, analysts may have the opportunity to spend their second or third rotations in another location.

Leadership Development Program analysts will explore various roles across multiple ION divisions. LDP has a presence in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Houston, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and London.

What You’ll Do

As an LDP, you will be working at the forefront of the FinTech industry in teams with fellow analysts and experienced subject‑matter experts. After going through our thorough induction program, you will quickly be expected to take ownership of challenging projects that make a real difference to our company and our customers. You will gain exposure and extensive skills related to the different areas of ION’s capabilities. Throughout the program, you will also be encouraged to pursue interests and skills outside of your rotation to further yourself and the organization.

Highlighted Analyst Projects
  • Conducted a strategic assessment of sales and trading workflows for a global investment bank’s fixed‑income division to help standardize processes, automate manual touchpoints, and improve overall sales efficiency
  • Hands‑on experience deploying ION solutions in real‑world environments through implementation projects
  • Analyzed product usage data to uncover trends and insights that drive decisions
  • Translated client requirements into detailed user stories for software development
  • Managed technical and commercial relationships for clients’ use of ION solutions through understanding of client requirements and goals
  • Led product sales campaigns and executed commercial processes to expand ION’s client base

Basic Qualifications
  • Winter 2025 or Spring 2026 undergraduate graduation
  • 3.3/4.0 GPA or above (transcript required)
  • STEM, Business, or Economics degrees preferred, and/or demonstrable interest in finance and/or technology, ideally including work experience
  • Authorization to work in selected country without restriction or need for sponsorship
  • Demonstrated leadership potential both in and out of the classroom
  • Passion for learning, self‑improvement, and a questioning and challenging mindset
  • Motivated self‑starter who is proactive, enthusiastic, and passionate about what they do
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities and the desire to understand the “why” behind each problem

Upon completion of the Leadership Development Program, you will have a well‑formed view of the FinTech industry. Through the rotational opportunities supported by continuous feedback, coaching, and mentoring, you will develop critical skills and professional capabilities fundamental to your career.
