Overview

Are you good with your hands, have a knack for all things technical? Join the Johnston Equipment team as a road service technician! The ideal candidate will be skilled with mechanical, electrical, and information technology skills. In this role you will be conducting maintenance checks and diagnosing repairs for lift trucks at customer sites. You are familiar with examining overall operational integrity and condition of the trucks. You have an eye for finding defective or worn out mechanical or electrical parts then communicating and executing next steps for repair solutions to the customer. As a technician, you are the front line contact between GNJ and the customer, so you are comfortable with client contact as well as having technical savvy. You pride yourself on having a good grasp of the Nova Scotia geography as well as strong time management ability. Johnston Equipment provides technical tools to its technicians to support them in their positions including the latest technology (ipads, iphones, work standards, GPS) in order to process work orders and maintain your parts inventory with maximum efficiency and accuracy.

Selection Process

Testing is part of our selection process. Each applicant selected to move forward will be required to complete two (2) written tests in English for mechanical and electrical knowledge.
