Qualifications

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario (CNO) required.
  • Minimum of one recent year medical experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a patient-centered, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care through assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care professionals.
  • Coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning.

Skills

Current Certificate of Registration with the CNO as a Registered Nurse in good standing
Excellent physical assessment skills
Experience in a hospital setting
Telemetry and/or oncologic and palliative nursing experience
Excellent communication skills
Psychosocial skills for offering emotional support

Education

Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing

Tools

Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation certificate
CPR certificate
