Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review nursing care plans that are individualized to each client.
- Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency have been completed.
- Administer specialized IV and injection therapies with precision and care.
- Monitor patients for any infusion-related reactions, providing timely interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all procedures and patient responses.
- Provide direction, support and delegation to Licensed / Registered Practical Nurses and unlicensed Field employees as appropriate.
- Educate patients on general health and medication management.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality assurance activities as directed by the healthcare facility.
- Uphold professional standards, appearance and demeanor at all times.

Education, Licensing And Certification
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- RN level registrant, in good standing with the applicable Provincial licensing body.
- Current ACLS and CPR certificates.
- Driver's license and auto insurance.
Experience
- Proven IV skills that include PIVs, CVADs and PICC lines.
- Experience with reading ECGs.
- Experience administering chemotherapy or willingness to learn more about oncology.
- Solid knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of community nursing.
Other Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations objectively and consistently.
- Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Able to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks; able to stand, bend, squat, kneel and reach; able to lift up to 23 kilograms.
- Capable of assisting clients with standing, walking and sitting if needed.
- Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to client care.
- Willing to travel locally between assignments.
