The Bloor‑Yonge Capacity Improvements Project is a significant undertaking by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to expand and modernize Bloor‑Yonge station – Canada’s busiest subway hub. Position

Risk Manager – Toronto, ON

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the project risk management plan, consistent with client and JV partner requirements.
  • Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation meetings across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Implement risk policies, processes, tools, and reporting cycles across all working groups.
  • Maintain and update the risk register, tracking ownership, status, and mitigation progress.
  • Prepare regular risk reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with design, construction, commercial, and estimating teams to integrate risk into cost and schedule forecasts.
  • Support value engineering and change management processes from a risk perspective.
  • Plan, facilitate, and execute Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analyses at key milestones.
  • Interpret QRA outputs and produce actionable insights for project leadership.
  • Ensure transparent audit trails for risk‑related assumptions, mitigations, and decisions.
Education & Experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in risk management within large‑scale infrastructure or transit projects.
  • Demonstrated experience during progressive design or early design‑build phases.
  • Proficiency with risk management software.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RMP, or equivalent.
  • Collaborative approach with strong facilitation and diplomatic challenge of assumptions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership, able to translate technical outputs into simple messages for decision‑makers.
