A women's support organization in Timmins is seeking a part-time Residential Support Worker. The role involves providing client-centered support and crisis intervention for residents at H.E.R. Place Woman’s Shelter. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and strong communication skills; knowledge of Indigenous cultures is a plus. Role includes shift work and physical tasks. Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC) is a dynamic, community‑based feminist organization that provides services for intimate partner abuse and sexual violence to women and their children in the Timmins area. TAWC works within an integrated feminist, anti‑racist, anti‑oppression framework. The agency administers a sexual assault centre, emergency shelter, and second‑stage housing to abused women and their children.
We are looking for a dynamic woman to join our team in the capacity of Permanent Part Time Residential Support Worker at H.E.R. Place Woman’s Shelter.
Hours of Work: Shift work (days, evenings, nights and weekends)
