What You’ll Do

As a contributing member of the Professional Services team, you will support our company’s vision, strategic priorities and initiatives and delivery of our brand promise. In this role, you will engage in hands‑on site inspections, perform detailed research and analysis, and collaborate with team members to prepare comprehensive reports.

Your work will involve:

  • Site Inspections: Travel to various locations to gather detailed information, measurements, and photographs.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research including market, economic, and property data, expert trend analysis and draw insights from data to develop solid, defensible reports.
  • Reports: Prepare reports including Depreciation Reports (Reserve Fund Studies) and Real Property Appraisal Reports, with opportunities to work on Insurance Appraisals (cost estimates) or Risk Management Reports (consulting services) files.

This role offers variety and exciting travel opportunities, with 30-40% regional travel required, and occasional national travel. You’ll have the chance to explore new places while contributing to our success.

You excel at managing multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment. Your research and analytical skills are top‑notch, and you’re proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and databases. A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel are essential.

Your Credentials
  • Post secondary education;
  • Real Estate Appraisal and Assessment Diploma, Diploma in Urban Land Economics, and/or Real Property Assessment Certificate is an asset;
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant professional designation such as Applied Science Technology, Certified Reserve Planner (Real Estate Institute of Canada), Professional Quantity Surveyor (Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors), an Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) or Canadian Residential Appraiser is considered an asset;
  • Experience with appraisal report writing, depreciation report (reserve fund) writing, property inspections, and/or onsite data collection;
  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints and construction plans; and
  • A combination of education, designation and experience may be considered.
