Duties
- Participant Recruitment & Enrollment: Screen, recruit, consent, and enroll families according to study protocols and inclusion / exclusion criteria.
- Study Coordination & Scheduling: Organize and schedule research assessments, phone contacts, and follow-up with participants while coordinating activities with research and healthcare staff.
- Data Management: Collect, enter, verify, track, and maintain research data and documents, ensuring accuracy and resolving queries in electronic databases.
- Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to study protocols, monitor safety issues / adverse events, and prepare reports, updates, and summaries for the PI and research team.
- Research & Administrative Support: Assist with literature reviews, grant application formatting, CV updates, and maintenance of research materials, supplies, and study awareness activities.
- Collaboration & External Liaison: Provide coordination and support to external research sites and contribute to overall team organization to achieve recruitment and study goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- At least one year of research-related experience, including knowledge of data collection and data tracking.
- Experience working with challenging clients.
- Effective problem-solving and analytic thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while functioning as a cooperative team member.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Access.
- Demonstrated courtesy, compassion, respect, and professionalism in interactions with families, co-workers, and volunteers.
The Following Are Considered An Asset
- Bachelor’s degree from an approved university training program.
- Recruitment experience, including use of social media platforms.
- Experience with Canadian Common CVs.
