Position Summary

This course will provide an advanced practical and theoretical overview to teaching social studies at the junior level and history and geography at the intermediate level. Topics include: (1) approaches to learning and teaching of the basic concepts of social studies, history and geography; (2) approaches to teaching the habits of mind, skills, and strategies of social studies, history and geography; (3) attitudes towards teaching and learning social studies; and (5) professional leadership.

Successful candidate will work with the course lead and/or team in order to provide consistency across sections.
