Background:Build-A-Bera is the incubator/accelerator arm of Berachain, a high-performance EVM-identical Layer 1 blockchain turning liquidity into security, powered by Proof of Liquidity (PoL). PoL aligns incentives between liquidity and security across all stakeholders, driving unparalleled efficiency for users and builders while giving validators unprecedented control over network-wide economic incentives. Berachain uses our novel BeaconKit framework for building modular EVM blockchains, making Berachain the first blockchain beyond Ethereum to maintain full client diversity including EIP-4844, EIP-4788, and full SSZ Encoding, all while leveraging CometBFT to bring Single-Slot Finality to the table.

Role Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager at Build-A-Bera, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes with a particular focus on our venture activities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for optimizing operations in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Knowledge of crypto and blockchain technology is required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily business operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes, with a focus on venture-side activities.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and marketing to ensure alignment and effective execution of projects.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasting operational costs and ensuring financial efficiency.
• Lead and mentor operations team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
• Drive initiatives to enhance operational scalability and support the company’s growth objectives.
• Coordinate and support venture activities, including fundraising, investor relations, and strategic partnerships.
• Leverage knowledge of crypto and blockchain technology to inform operational strategies and ensure alignment with industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the technology or blockchain industry.
• Strong understanding of business operations, including supply chain management, logistics, and process optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, driving performance and fostering a positive work culture.
• Proficiency in using operational management software and tools.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management.
• Knowledge of blockchain technology and the crypto ecosystem is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
