A regional healthcare provider in Ajax is seeking a Registered Technologist for temporary full-time work in Diagnostic Imaging Services. The ideal candidate will produce radiographs and CT images, assist Radiologists, and maintain high standards of patient safety and technical competence. Key qualifications include a valid CMRITO license and experience with diagnostic imaging equipment.
OPSEU — Job Title: Registered Technologist; Status: Temporary Full Time (18 months); Department: CT Scan, LHAP; Program: Diagnostic Imaging Services; 8 Hour Shifts, days/evenings/nights/weekends Schedule (Subject to Change); Location: Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering; Wage Schedule: $36.840 - $50.240 per hour; Posting Reference: 2500002895; This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 30 September 2025 and closing at 11:59 pm on 7 October 2025.
The Technologist is responsible for producing radiographs and computed tomography images with accountability to storing images and recording them as required to complete examinations requested by medical staff in accordance with the procedures set out in appropriate manuals; assisting the Radiologist in the performance of their procedures and ensures patient comfort and safety; maintaining technical competence as required under the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) guidelines and the requirements of the C.A.M.R.T. and/or O.A.M.R.S.; rotation into other radiographic modalities; participation in student/technologist training and completion of other related duties as required.
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
