  • Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
  • Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Ensures the delivery of client‑centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
  • Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

We currently have multiple permanent part time opportunities available.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.

About this Location

Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals.

Located in Kamloops, RIH offers high‑level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services. Specialty services include ambulatory psychiatry, elderly mental health, clinical nutrition, and lung health.

5 North is a 32 bed unit that is primarily reserved for post‑operative Orthopedic surgical patients. We see elective total joint replacements as well as orthopedic trauma and urgent/emergent orthopedic surgical patients. There are also Plastics and ENT Services on 5 North. On our unit, nurses require an interdisciplinary skillset as we work closely with Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy to help meet our patient’s needs.
