Registered Nurse (RPN) Wound Care Lead | Mississauga Long-Term Care (LTC) Agency

HealthOPM is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at a long-term care (LTC) home in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse with strong wound care expertise who is ready to lead wound management and train other nurses in early intervention practices.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Salary: $34-$38/hour (based on experience).
  • Full-time schedule: 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm, including alternate weekends.
  • Contract: 3-month contract with potential to extend.
  • Opportunity to lead specialized care and make an impact on resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead wound care assessments and treatment planning for LTC residents.
  • Train and mentor nursing staff on early recognition of skin breakdown and wound prevention.
  • Collaborate with physicians, wound care coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in wound care tracking and reporting.
  • Provide resident and staff education to strengthen overall wound care knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Current RPN license (CNO) in good standing.
  • Strong wound care experience; homecare or surgical skills preferred.
  • Confident in leadership, education, and documentation/reporting.
  • Must have recent (within 6 months) TB Test and Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
  • Available for immediate start; able to work full-time with alternate weekends.
