Overview

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) specialized in emergency room care to join our amazing team working in various hospitals serving Summerside, Prince Edward Island. We’re ready when you are!

This opportunity offers contract options of up to 12 months. You choose what works for you!

Under the direction of the facility charge nurse, you will provide care according to the College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island, the Standards of Practice of Carecor and the healthcare facility where assigned - helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift. Prior to joining the PEI team, we will provide you with information regarding travel allowance and PEI nursing license reimbursement.

Job Qualification
  • Applicants require a Registered Nurse (RN) practicing license that is current, active and in good standing with your respective provincial College.
  • Transfer of active practicing license will be required with the College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island(CRNPEI).
  • Some emergency room experience, or training
  • Current ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B
  • Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
  • Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider)
  • Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
  • Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
  • Flexible to work occasional shifts that are considered urgent / last minute / early morning
  • Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
