You will manage and lead Facilities Managers and Facilities Area Managers, reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Director, with a primary focus on maximizing equipment uptime and executing maintenance projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The successful candidate is a subject matter expert in facilities maintenance and workplace safety, adept at data-driven management and leadership. You will oversee multiple complex projects, influence stakeholders at all levels, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to the facilities maintenance team across North America.

About the role: Regional Maintenance Manager

As a Regional Maintenance Manager, you will provide leadership and mentorship to field-based Facilities Managers, driving maintenance best practices across multiple sites. You will innovate and document work methods, standardize processes, and ensure a safe work environment. Collecting, measuring, and analyzing key performance indicators will be essential to improve processes and enhance customer experience.

You will offer guidance on maintenance and equipment end-of-life decisions using ROI and analytical techniques, oversee budget development and execution, and manage vendor support and equipment relationships to maximize economies of scale. Frequent on-site monitoring, auditing maintenance execution, enforcing safe work practices, and instituting training drills across the network are core responsibilities. You will also recruit and develop top talent in Facilities Maintenance and Facilities Area Manager roles.

Requirements / Skills

Core Maintenance Leadership: BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or BS/BA with 4+ years maintenance experience, or 2+ years Amazon experience. Previous corporate or regional facilities roles leading 250+ employees, with 7+ years managing teams and performance in manufacturing, distribution, or production environments. Experience driving change across multiple sites is essential.

Technical & Analytical Expertise: Subject matter expert in MHE systems, packaging automation, distribution processes, and storage systems. Proficient in Lean concepts, TOC, cost/benefit analysis, labor productivity analysis, and safety/ergonomic factors. Strong skills in MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, SQL, and data analysis to support maintenance Best Practices and equipment end-of-life decisions.

  • BS in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or BS/BA with 4+ years maintenance experience, or 2+ years Amazon experience
  • Previous corporate or regional facilities roles leading 250+ employees, 7+ years managing employees in manufacturing/distribution
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean maintenance initiatives
  • Expertise in equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance strategies, and maximizing equipment uptime
  • Background in MHE systems/applications, packaging automation, distribution/storage systems is a plus
  • Strong data-driven management skills: KPI collection, measurement, and analysis for continuous improvement
  • Experience overseeing budget development, capital planning, vendor management, and contract documents (RFPs, change orders, POs)
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring to maintenance leadership teams
  • Frequent travel up to 80% for on-site monitoring, auditing, and training drills across the network
  • Strong communication, team-building, and influencing skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision; ability to relocate as needed
  • Preferred: MBA or Master’s degree, Six Sigma Black Belt, Professional Engineering registration
