Reporting to the Director of Sales, Distribution & Artisan, the Regional Key Account Manager (KAM) will plan and lead sales activities in the market, aligning with the company’s strategy and local market requirements.
- Primary Responsibilities:
In collaboration with Marketing, Group R&D, and Business Units, develop Puratos Canada's position as a reliable partner in innovation within the bakery, patisserie, and chocolate markets, aiming to surpass market growth and meet targets.
Mandate:
- Ensure compliance with all local and national food safety and legal requirements.
- Perform all responsibilities under strict food safety standards.
Key Tasks:
- Maximize sales and profit growth through effective strategies and plans.
- Lead and coordinate projects with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement joint business plans with customers for profitable growth.
- Monitor progress of key account strategies internally and externally.
- Prepare action plans and utilize CRM daily for leads and projects.
- Maintain close contact with customers to address complaints and resolve issues.
- Understand customer manufacturing operations to tailor sales discussions.
- Define communication strategies and follow service level agreements.
- Collaborate with product development and marketing for new product development.
- Identify needs and opportunities through consultative sales approaches.
- Set account plans and forecasts.
- Conduct business reviews as scheduled.
Technical Support:
- Present innovations and tailored solutions based on market trends and customer demands.
- Provide proactive support and troubleshoot technical problems efficiently.
Budget Management:
- Track and execute sales activities to meet or exceed budgets.
- Manage pricing at the customer level.
Relationship and Teamwork:
- Facilitate team processes and understand the broader company picture.
- Maintain open communication within the team and with other departments.
- Take responsibility and follow up diligently.
- Display confidence, organizational, and selling skills.
- Follow company policies and ethics.

Requirements:
- University degree in commerce or food science.
- Minimum 5-10 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the food industry (baking, ingredients).
- Understanding of retail and food service markets.
- Bilingual in French and English is essential.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of sales budgeting, marketing, production, and distribution processes.
- Logical problem-solving skills and market analysis capabilities.
- Self-motivated, independent, and solution-oriented.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
