Overview

Atlantic Equipment Services, a division of Heritage Food Service Group of Canada, is Nova Scotia's largest factory-authorized Parts and Service Centre for the Food Service Industry. We have several decades of history and our licensed, factory-trained technicians minimize downtime and prioritize urgent service. We are the industry leader in Canada and care beyond service. Position: Refrigeration Technician. Pay: $30 - $50 per hour.

A Day In The Life

Our qualified Refrigeration Journeymen repair and maintain refrigeration equipment. Typical equipment includes display cases, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, chillers, and ice machines. If you can service hot as well as cold commercial food equipment, that is a bonus. Typical cooking equipment (gas, steam, and electric) includes dishwashing equipment, ranges, fryers, steamers, and combination ovens. If you are not currently certified, we will support your future training and educational goals. Your role uses your industry knowledge to service complex equipment while providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Service and repair refrigeration equipment and related cooking equipment as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain safety and quality standards.
What You Bring
  • Education in appliance service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience as a refrigeration technician.
  • Valid trade license 313A is required.
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting commercial food equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Valid driver's license with a relatively clean driving record.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; accountable and self-driven.
  • Must be available to work overtime and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Able to occasionally travel to other locations for work or training.
