Red Seal Gas Compression Tech – FIFO – $58.96-$61.91 / hour – Fort St John, BC

Are you a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or Millwright with extensive experience on all makes of Gas Compression equipment (G3600 A4)?

Do you enjoy maximizing your earning potential, working 12 hour days on a 14 / 14 rotation traveling to different client sites?

Are you a confident Technician who can work independently, with exceptional interpersonal skills in a client facing role?

They are hiring experienced Red Seal Gas Compression Technicians for field work in Fort St. John, BC on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation.

Responsibilities

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, and generators
  • Perform field maintenance and diagnostics
  • Ensure safety standards are followed on-site
  • Field-based position working in remote or outdoor environments, including gas plants, well sites, and industrial facilities
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions (cold, heat, snow, rain) year-round
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Handle various related field duties as required
Qualifications

What\'s required for the role?

  • Red Seal Certification (Heavy Equipment Technician, Electrician, or Millwright)
  • Proven field experience with gas compression equipment, especially G3600 A4
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, often in remote locations
  • Commissioning experience is an asset
  • You will be fit-tested and able to wear a respirator (position requires the use of a respirator; proper facial fit is necessary)
  • Experience with non-CAT equipment (e.g., Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins) is considered an asset
  • Commitment to safety and excellent communication skills
