Overview

The Recreation Therapy Aide assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and daily operations of therapeutic recreation programs. Opportunity

The Recreation Team Member facilitates planned and spontaneous opportunities to support the maintenance and development of resident skills and knowledge as well as the development of relationships and personal connections.

What Is In It For You
  • Maintains department records and completes all documentation as per required timelines, including Resident Assessments/Re-Assessments, Care Planning, MDS Coding/RAPs, Progress Notes, ActivityPro and monthly calendars.
  • Participates in the on-going evaluation of the recreation program and related quality improvement processes.
  • Maintains recreation supplies and other related tools/resources in good working condition and as per related infection control policies and procedures, reporting deficiencies to the Program Manager.
  • Works a variety of shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays).
  • May involve travel within the province for education and meetings.
