Position Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed to practice in Quebec to join our team. The NP will be responsible for assessing client needs through virtual consultations and prescribing medications in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services (LSSSS) and the Professional Code of Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations to assess medical needs and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications with the guidelines of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) and the Pharmacy Act.
• Follow telehealth best practices and comply with the requirements of the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) for remote prescribing.
• Deliver safe and ethical care with a strong emphasis on patient confidentiality and autonomy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in line with Law 25 regarding the protection of personal information in the private sector.
• Stay up to date on telemedicine laws and regulatory changes in Quebec.

Requirements

• A licensed nurse practitioner who is authorized to prescribe in Quebec and in good standing with the OIIQ.
• Licensure to practice in Ontario is a strong asset.
• Experience in telehealth or virtual care is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing telemedicine and remote prescribing in Quebec and Ontario.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English (oral and written).
• Comfortable using telehealth tools and electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and patient-centered care.
