Job Description

Q-Block Computing is seeking a Quantum Scientist to join our innovative team in Canada. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting‑edge quantum technologies in sensing, communication, and computation. The candidate will join Q-Block Computing Research for the experimental developments of cavity‑coupled neutral atom tweezer array for quantum simulation and computation, as well as commercialization research in quantum communication and sensing.

Job Summary

As a Quantum Scientist, you will collaborate with other team members and achieve laboratory milestones under the guidance of senior leaders. Job duty includes research progress reports, laboratory design and implementation, as well as the opportunities to further your skills in experimental atomic molecular optical (AMO) physics.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute complex atomic molecular optical (AMO) physics experiments.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Analyze data and interpret results to inform engineering decisions and enhance laboratory capabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest research in quantum science and technology.
  • Monthly progress reporting and follow best practices in research data management.
Qualification
  • Masters/PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in experimental quantum information science, or related areas, with a preference on atomic molecular optical physics.
Skills
