Quality Supervisor

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Quality Supervisor to help launch and lead the quality control program for a growing manufacturing operation. This newly created role will report directly to the General Manager and will build and implement a formal Quality Management System (QMS) modeled after its parent company's quality system. This role is a key component in our clients efforts to support the company’s re‑engagement with major clients and expansion goals over the next 24 months. It’s a unique opportunity to lay the foundation for quality excellence and drive continuous improvement in a high‑impact environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a QMS based on ISO 9001 and parent company best practices
  • Create SOPs, inspection protocols, and documentation that meet customer and audit standards
  • Perform incoming inspections and monitor supplier quality
  • Lead non‑conformance tracking and root‑cause investigations
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain test and inspection equipment
  • Track and analyze quality metrics to guide improvements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on quality initiatives
  • Ensure traceability of parts and assemblies using a barcode‑based QC platform
  • Maintain audit readiness and contribute to successful customer inspections
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • 3+ years of quality experience in an ISO‑compliant manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS
  • Experience writing SOPs, conducting inspections, and handling non‑conformances
  • Familiar with Excel, Word, and process documentation tools
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and confident working independently
  • Comfortable training others and working cross‑functionally
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and work in a warm, hands‑on shop environment
  • College diploma required; must complete internal training upon hire
Remuneration
  • Base salary: $80K+, well qualified candidates may have greater potential
  • Competitive salary with benefits.
