Job description

Scapa Tapes, a division of Mativ, is a global supplier of bonding solutions and a manufacturer of adhesive-based products for the healthcare and industrial markets.

Our Renfrew site is currently accepting applications for a Quality Lab Technician. This is a full-time position working 12-hour rotating shifts (Days and Nights).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling and testing of tape products following specific methods and using a variety of equipment and measuring devices.
  • Document and report test results on paper and electronically.
  • Raise concerns to the quality assurance manager based on test results and observing the daily manufacturing operations.
  • Take action by reporting, holding and releasing materials and products, following our current practices.
  • Occasionally sort and inspect material.
  • Perform other lab-related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of grade 12 education is required; further related education is preferred.
  • Experience in a lab or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Good analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Keen observation skills and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Able and willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, days and nights.
