Job description

As a Quality Inspector at Soucy, you will be at the heart of our performance, ensuring that every component delivered meets the highest industry standards. Your role will consist of validating, inspecting, and approving parts to ensure they meet our customers' requirements. In addition to coordinating and monitoring corrective and preventive actions, you will actively participate in the evolution of our quality process. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining and improving the quality of our products throughout the supply chain!

In this position, you will have the opportunity to :
  • Ensure that part inspections are carried out in accordance with established criteria, and advise production supervisors in the event of queries
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections and record data
  • Carry out certain checks on parts inspected by grinders, and provide training as needed
  • Ensure compliance with inspection priorities based on deliveries
  • Support production to help solve problems
  • Perform laboratory tests (chemical analysis, tensile testing, metallography, sand testing, etc.)
  • Monitor the various manufacturing processes and implement corrective action as needed
  • Support the quality team in any other tasks

  • Relevant training (quality control, metallurgy, process, mechanical or other) or experience in similar functions
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and metrology
  • Proficiency in English and metric units of measurement
  • Ability to use Office Suite software (mainly Excel)
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and autonomy
  • Customer service orientation
