Key Accountabilities
- Maximise contribution of technical departments to cost‑effective product manufacture
- Maintain product quality levels consistent with commercial drivers and customer requirements
- Administer high‑quality technical support to Commercial, Operations and external customers
- Other duties as requested by manager
- Carry out sampling, field testing and specimen preparation of Concrete, Asphalt and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British and European standards and company procedures
- Investigate and feed back quality issues to technical and operations teams at sites and depots, including but not limited to:
- Concrete sampling, testing and preparation
- Asphalt sampling, testing and preparation
- Aggregate sampling, testing and preparation
- Preliminary plant or customer site investigations
- Preliminary investigation of product issues
- Review of water demands in RMC including plant M.C testing
- Review of site practice
- Review of truck delivery practices / issues
- Review product consistency variances
- Raise NCRs and Near Hits as appropriate
- Challenge behaviours that demonstrate a negative attitude towards safety and/or quality
- Assist with transportation of test specimens
