Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of comprehensive, effective end-to-end test strategies and plans for platforms and projects on high-profile, complex and high-risk initiatives with significant impact to the organization.
- Overall accountability on test approach and test delivery, maximizing automation to provide for fast delivery based on requirements and specifications.
- Provide test expertise with a focus on efficiency, developing innovative solutions covering all aspects of testing, with a focus on automation, end-to-end solutioning leveraging diverse solutions (test data management, service virtualization and/or test environment provisioning).
- Act as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role or as Journey Test Lead partnering with Journey Solution Train Engineers (SLTE), Release Train Engineers (RTE), and Product Family to provide a broad range of test services and strategies, ensuring business needs and objectives are achieved (scope is across multiple Platforms and/or multiple Lines of Business influencing QE teams to achieve goals).
- Customer-accountable for Test Strategy deliverables, planning, test design/development, test case automation and test execution to achieve business outcomes for medium to high complexity scope.
- Integrate directly into a team's continuous delivery process, augmenting the delivery of quality software and ensuring speed, agility, and risk management.
- Provide leadership, direction and feedback throughout the development and design processes; provides test development/automation support to ensure that the quality of the intended solution is met.
- Able to determine testing impacts for multiple delivery teams and scale accordingly to ensuring positive business outcomes.
- Responsible for activities related to risk identification and mitigation and validating that business outcomes are achieved.
- Drive quality and metrics making improvements in delivery; work on becoming a leader in innovation.
- Utilize advanced domain knowledge & ability to understand technical solutions to build an optimized Test Approach, inclusive of the tooling strategy.
- Effectively engineer and leverage virtual assets to support virtualization of any incomplete/unavailable code, service, database, etc.
- Have strong knowledge of test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilities to be able to adopt a standard test data tool set.
- Lead deployment and implementation of tools/ processes/ resources and automation for functional and/or non-functional testing (performance, readiness/reliability testing (ORT), accessibility, security) approach, frameworks, and ensure automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration, delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines.
- Identify opportunities for test asset reusability and efficiencies in test approach.
- Proactively seek continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and responsible for developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunities within the testing process.
- Lead team and collaborate cross-functionally with development, business analysts, etc. to ensure proper assessment.
