Position Overview

LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst - Manual Testing in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Information Systems team, you will be responsible for testing and implementation of our quality assurance processes. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities in office or hybrid.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing for new online products, user interface updates, product enhancements, internal tools, and A/B experiments
  • Identify, document, and track all bugs, issues, and inconsistencies in the bug tracking system
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience
  • Build and implement test plans with detailed use cases and clear procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments (Development, Marketing, Legal) to review requirements, specifications, and identify potential gaps
  • Communicate proactively with the Scrum team and QA Manager regarding testing status, risks, and timelines
  • Participate in an Agile development process working with team members to help achieve team goals
  • Replicate reported defects to help identify root cause of the issue and full scope of impact
  • Complete assigned projects while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Opportunity to write code directly and pick up development tasks as desired
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education in Computing Science, Information Systems Technology, Web Design, or another relevant field (ex. Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
  • Experience with website testing
  • Proficiency in identifying detailed test scenarios and scope of testing from project documentation, user stories or stakeholders
  • Ability to solve problems and identify the root cause of issues
  • Skilled in documenting detailed defect reports
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and handle multiple projects
  • Proficiency with analyzing automated test scripts for errors
  • Organizational skill to plan and prioritize work independently
  • Ability to analyze automated test scripts and logs for errors
  • Experience with web development and knowledge of databases would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Selenium would be an asset
