Where you’ll work: Hungary (remote), fixed-term contract-12 months

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in executing procurement purchasing activities and supporting category management efforts the needs of the business. You will be responsible for managing daily purchasing requests, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. This role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Your Day to Day

As a Purchasing Specialist, you would be working on:

  • Manage purchasing requests with accuracy and efficiency. Process a high volume of purchase requests daily across multiple spend categories, ensuring timely execution while maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Support purchase order management by ensuring purchase orders are correctly created and monitored, verifying proper cost center financial allocations to avoid processing delays.
  • Support new supplier setup and supplier maintenance by ensuring appropriate vetting and documentation has been completed.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Adhere to company policies, including but not limited to the Purchasing Policy, Contract Signature Policy, Supplier Security Risk Policy, and Supplier Code of Conduct, ensuring all purchases align with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions. Work closely with Category Managers, Finance, Legal, Security, and Business Stakeholders to streamline purchasing processes and address any supplier or procurement-related challenges.
  • Monitor procurement data and ensure data integrity, optimize supplier utilization, and work with Category Managers and business stakeholders to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
What We’re Looking For

As a Purchasing Specialist, your background will look like:

  • 1-3 years of Purchasing experience, preferably at a Technology company.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing data and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across functions and regions.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable. Ability to manage multiple purchasing requests with a sense of urgency while owning the outcome.
  • Experience with financial and procurement systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience will also be considered.
