Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for in‑unit management of product inventory, vendor relations, intra‑unit requisitions and purchase orders.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Purchasing Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Maintains “show quality” of all areas at all times
  • Understands all menus, product offerings, packaging, and pricing
  • Establishes rapport with associates, management, and partners
  • Employs safety, security and sanitation guidelines and practices
  • Oversee in‑unit logistics, including transportation of food to local sites
  • Completes scheduling of team members
  • Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
  • Oversees execution of required daily reporting and completion of required department reports and compiles information at month end closing
  • Reviews forecasts and schedules to meet operational needs and desired targets
  • Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable Compass systems (Purchasing Systems, Point‑of‑sale, Timekeeping systems, etc.)
  • Oversees inventory procedures for accountability and ensures inventory best practices are in place
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance to team and to ensure lines of communication are open between management and associates
  • Establish in‑unit vehicle operations procedures and maintenance schedule

  • Exceptional reading, writing, math, and computer skills required
  • Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
  • Must have a valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence
  • May be required to perform diverse physical tasks
  • Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
