A public health organization in Ontario is seeking a Public Health Inspector to manage environmental health programs. Responsibilities include health promotion, education, and enforcement of regulations. Candidates should possess relevant certifications and a Bachelor’s degree in environmental health. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. The position requires travel within the Timmins area.
Salary Range: $71,505 ($39.29/hr) - $84,392 ($46.47/hr)
Expected Hours: 35 hrs / Week
Position Summary:
The Public Health Inspector is responsible for providing a comprehensive environmental health program in the community in accordance with the Ontario Public Health Standards and the Health Protection and Promotion Act. Using a variety of professional and technical skills, the Public Health Inspector protects individual and community wellness through health promotion, education, inspection, and enforcement of provincial Acts and Regulations. The position will be based out of the Timmins Office but will require extensive travel within the Northeastern Public Health catchment area.
