Job summary

A leading food service provider is seeking outgoing Baristas to join their team at Starbucks located at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. This role requires providing legendary customer service and quality beverages while maintaining a clean environment. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in the food and beverage industry. Knowledge of Serve Safe and First Aid is considered an asset, as is experience with Starbucks franchises. Candidates must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience working in the food and beverage industry.
• Experience working from Starbucks franchise considered an asset.
• Serve Safe and First Aid certification is an asset.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull min. 25 lbs.

Aramark Canada Ltd. is currently seeking outgoing Baristas to join the team at Starbucks at Dalhousie University. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Barista is responsible for providing legendary customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follows franchise operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Keep area clean at all times, clearing trays, cleaning counters and tables, and managing waste.
• May perform other job duties as required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience working in the food and beverage industry.
• Experience working from Starbucks franchise considered an asset.
• Serve Safe and First Aid an asset.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull min. 25 lbs.
