Role Responsibilities
  • Provide community child and adolescent mental health services in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development and community mental health services
  • Deliver child & adolescent psychiatry community mental health and inpatient services
  • Support developmental delay and mental health services
  • Offer private child and adolescent psychiatry services in the community* (discuss options further with interested candidates)
  • Provide services to KBRH’s 12-bed general adult inpatient unit and on-call coverage

Our team aims to provide quality psychiatric care across the Kootenay Boundary region, supporting family physicians, pediatricians, and youth mental health services. There is also an ongoing discussion about developing a small inpatient unit for children and adolescents, with opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute ideas.
