Overview

Project Technologist – Indoor Environmental Quality
Indoor Environmental Quality
Winnipeg, MB

Pinchin Ltd. is currently looking for a dynamic and organized Project Technologist to join our Indoor Environmental Quality team. The IEQ team provides clients with a variety of consulting services involving indoor air quality, Legionella, microbial contamination, and infection control.

Responsibilities
  • Complete assessments for mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), designated substances and other hazardous materials
  • Conduct interviews with clients regarding building history and site-specific client concerns
  • Perform inspections and evaluate building systems
  • Assess building damages related to floods, water losses, smoke and fire
  • Assist clients following flood and loss emergencies to get buildings dried, cleaned or remediated and operational
  • Collect a variety of air and bulk samples (mould, asbestos, lead, dust, bacteria, etc.)
  • Interpret laboratory results
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and provide recommendations to address concerns
  • Inspect abatement and restoration contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and other hazardous materials remediation work to document that the work has been properly completed
Requirements
  • College diploma in Construction or Architectural Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
  • Post-graduate environmental management certificate or equivalent would be an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience with IEQ work preferred
  • Consulting industry experience preferred
  • Experience with building construction or maintenance is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and a personal vehicle required
  • Availability to travel to clients’ sites
  • Availability to work outside of core business hours (occasional evening and weekends)
