Electrical Project Manager – Vancouver, BC – Hybrid (WFH + In‑Office). Salary Range: $90,000 – $125,000.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist principal‑in‑charge in developing system engineering concepts, design briefs, and concept reports.
  • Manage design budgets and review construction budgets for electrical projects.
  • Conduct and coordinate reviews of existing installations and assess their impact on projects.
  • Prepare calculations and select equipment for electrical systems.
  • Allocate tasks to designers and CAD technicians as required.
  • Communicate applicable codes and standards to internal and external teams.
  • Coordinate documentation with architectural, interior design, and other discipline teams.
  • Recommend procurement methods appropriate to the project.
  • Review deliverables (reports, calculations, drawings, specifications) for completeness, accuracy, and quality management standards.
  • Promote and enforce company standards for project administration, documentation, and total quality management.
  • Act as contract administrator for designated projects to ensure timely completion of contract administration activities.
  • Ensure shop drawing review process aligns with project timelines.
  • Coordinate with the contract administration team regarding drawing reviews and site activities.
  • Prepare change notices and review change notices issued by contract administration.
  • Track task completion accurately and within assigned hours/fee.
  • Respond to technical and financial queries related to the project.
  • Track scope changes and prepare contract amendments (e.g., RAF) for client review.
  • Support accounts receivable processes.
  • Maintain complete internal project coordination by discipline.
  • Create and monitor task schedules with critical performance data.
  • Liaise with external consultants and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Organize and attend client meetings and deliver presentations to client/owner.
Who You Are
  • Five or more years of electrical building services project engineering experience.
  • Senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will also be considered.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work independently.
  • Capability to work in a complex environment, managing multiple projects and clients.
  • Demonstrated sound communication skills with client and staff relations.
  • Experience coordinating major projects with consultants and contractors.
  • Knowledgeable about provincial building code, electrical code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES and NFPA standards.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision‑making, and engineering knowledge.
Nice to Have
  • A LEED Accredited Professional designation or sustainable design experience.
