Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Project Manager on a 6-month contract. Responsible for establishing and directing IT projects initiated by the Accountable Executive, including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, business acquisition and integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployment. These strategic projects are often highly complex and large-scale, spanning multiple functions and/or business groups. The Senior Project Manager holds the primary project relationship with senior executives and ensures a successful business outcome.

Responsibilities
  • Managing team members from business and technology
  • Understanding and negotiating task schedules and work assignments, to identify priority of action
  • Itemizing tasks
  • Managing schedules from a 6-month to 18-month window
  • Following up with individuals on their tasks
  • Tracking issues and escalating if needed
  • Strategic view of the lifestyle and understanding the process and business details
  • Experience with standard data center and cloud-based infrastructure builds would be beneficial
  • Finance/Enterprise Risk/Capital Market business background understanding
  • Ability to think through solutions and articulate rationale clearly
  • Create MS Project schedules
  • Present and negotiate with CIO-level stakeholders
  • Should have worked on the project for over a year
  • Blend of business and technology
  • Ability to make decisions (governance structure)
