Job description

Join our Healthcare Support Services Leadershipteam where our people are driven by a desire to innovate do social good and move patient care to the next level.

As the Project Manager Building Renovation & Lifecycle you will report to the Senior Operations Manager and be responsible for managing and executing healthcare infrastructure projects within a hospital environment . This role requires project management expertise strong communication with internal teams and external contractors and a firm understanding of healthcare standards such as IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) .

You will oversee renovations upgrades and lifecycle projectsincluding managing subcontractors coordinating with cleaning and operational teams and ensuring safety and compliance are upheld throughout project execution. Experience with P3 (Public-Private Partnership) environments and lifecycle budget management (e.g. boiler replacement fixture upgrades) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery in an active hospital setting adhering to IPAC standards and minimizing disruption to healthcare operations
  • Develop monitor and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Document project scope before / after progress photos and communicate scope changes to the client promptly
  • Handle all change orders including negotiation cost / schedule impact assessment and implementation
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal teams including Environmental Services for safe execution
  • Conduct quarterly documentation audits across departments; lead corrective actions for compliance
  • Manage contracts for non-FM operational service providers (including renewal timelines and vendor alternatives)
  • Support bid development for new business opportunities in the Northwest Territories
  • Facilitate department-level strategic initiatives in partnership with department managers
  • Delegate tasks across cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality project execution

Qualifications :

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in project management or a related field
  • 5 years of project management experience ideally in healthcare or complex facility environments
  • Experience working in environments such as hospitals including awareness of infection control protocols
  • Familiarity with P3 contracts and lifecycle infrastructure planning
  • Strong proficiency in MS Project Excel PowerPoint SharePoint and Visio
  • PMP certification is considered an asset
  • Effective communication skills with a proactive approach to client and stakeholder management
  • Experience working with all levels of government is preferred
