Could you be the full-time PrEM Group Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system by ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions for the On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (System Deployment & Integration Manager, Corridor Sub-System Manager, and other engineering teams), manage the technical contractual scope of the project, and oversee system integration and deployment activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of system architecture and design, as well as interface management between sub-systems and third parties, but also lead activities related to certification, validation, and configuration management.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Managing the technical contractual scope of the project in collaboration with the customer
  • Ensuring project performance and customer acceptance of the solution
  • Leading the Project Engineering Management department, providing guidance and consistency
  • Leading the project solution deployment and coordinating system activities
  • Defining and implementing the Engineering Strategy
  • Managing project technical risks and mitigation plans
  • Supporting technical documentation and ensuring compliance with project requirements
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific fields
  • P. Eng certification preferred
  • Experience in project deployment across the full lifecycle, including commissioning
  • At least 8 years of experience working on signaling projects in a technical capacity
  • Hands‑on experience in functional or hierarchical team management
  • Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope
  • Customer relationship management experience, particularly in contractual settings
  • Knowledge of products and services in various market segments (Urban, Mainline) is a plus
  • Background in safety and engineering product development lifecycle is desirable
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
  • Analytical thinking and resilience
