YMCA Calgary is seeking a Program Lead to oversee camp programs, ensuring a positive outdoor experience for children. The role involves leading counselors, managing camper behavior, and educating on healthy living. Ideal candidates will have experience in supervision and a strong commitment to YMCA values.
What qualifications are we looking for?
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification (CPR recertified within the last 12 months) at minimum
Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
Three professional references
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Reporting to a CCH or Riveredge Coordinator or Supervisor, Program Leads are responsible for:
The Program Leads will work outdoors for most of each day. This role requires lifting program supplies, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Physically, the position can be demanding, involving long periods of walking and standing, physical activities, and games. It also requires moderate bending, lifting, and repetitive movements during camp programs.
