Career Trek Inc. is looking for energetic, dynamic,andcreative individualswho thrive in a space of innovation, growth,change,andout-of-the-boxthinking to work as Program Delivery StaffinThompson, MB.The primary role oftheProgram Delivery Staffis tofacilitatean exciting and engagingyouth career exploration programmingexperience for students in Grades9to12and provide supervision.The Trekker Days may run on Saturdays oron weekdays.

Under the guidance and supervision of theManager andCoordinator, themain areasof work include:

  1. Facilitating or co-facilitatingprogramactivities according to lesson plans.
  2. Inspiring and motivating participants, by guiding discussions and addressing relevant questions.
  3. Responsible for program setup, including preparation and cleanup of supplies and assistingwith inventory management.
  4. Accurate record keeping and reporting, along with documentingprogramactivities, highlights, and relevant details through photos andimpact measurement tools.
  5. Ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
  6. Staying informed about participants' dietary and medical requirements.
  7. Providing guidance,supportand mentorship to all participants.
OurIdealCandidateHas:
  • Someexperienceworking with youthfrom equity deserving groups.
  • Familiaritywith/working knowledge ofMicrosoft applications including Teams and Outlook.
  • Some experiencewith public speaking or program/workshop facilitationor willingness to build these skills.
  • Familiarity withrunningevents or programs.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and account for results.
  • A combination of education, experience (work, volunteer, self-taught or lived) and professional development thatdemonstratesyour knowledge and understanding of youth engagement, program implementation & evaluationand stakeholder(partners,supportersandparticipants)relations.
  • Organizational,interpersonal,and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve that is guided by a creative, innovative solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work as a Team to ensure the success of theprogram.
Assets(nicetohave)
  • Post-Secondary Education (in-progress or completed).
  • Experience, knowledge,or understanding of career development and its importance at an early age.
  • Knowledge of/willingness to learn Indigenous worldviews, teachings,language,or land-based learning.
  • Knowledge of/willingness to learn challenges faced by Newcomers and other youth from racialized communities.
  • Willingness to learn and build skills related to program delivery, youth engagement and personal growth and development.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicleis not mandatory but considered an asset.
