Seasonal Production Worker – Fish Processing Plant

4–6 Week Contract with Potential for Full-Time Employment

Staffmax is hiring Production Workers on behalf of our client, a leading fish processing company located in Transcona. This is a seasonal full-time role expected to last 4–6 weeks, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.

This is a unionized workplace offering guaranteed wage increases every 500 hours worked, along with plenty of opportunities for overtime at 1.5x–2.0x pay rates.

What You’ll Do
  • Work on the production line to ensure smooth processing
  • Trim and filet fish using a knife with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Package finished products for shipment and distribution
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Previous experience in production, food processing, or manufacturing is an asset
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when required
Requirements
  • Able to pass mandatory criminal background check
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • No fish allergies
Shifts Available
  • Days: Monday–Friday, 6:45am – 3:15pm
  • Afternoons: Monday–Friday, 3:15pm – 11:45pm
  • Weekends: Thursday–Sunday, 6:45am – 5:15pm
Compensation

17.75 per hour + shift premiums

Guaranteed union wage increases every 500 hours

Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x–2.0x rates
