Job summary

A leading sterilization company in Ontario is looking for a Production Technician. In this role, you will schedule product runs, maintain inventory, and train personnel. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma and experience in a sterilization environment. Training will be provided for all necessary operations. Competitive salary of $48,500 - $74,000 per year based on experience.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of experience in a sterilization environment preferred.
• Proficient using a computer.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions.

Overview

Production Technician (Finance)

Reporting to the Process Supervisor or General Manager, the Production Technician assists in a wide variety of assignments including, but not limited to scheduling product runs, assisting in determining the appropriate tote-loading configuration for new product, authorizing work cycles and training less senior personnel.

Responsibilities

• Schedules product runs through the irradiator.
• Assists in determining the appropriate tote-loading configuration for new product.
• Authorizes work orders for proper cycle and loading patterns.
• Inspects inbound customer runs for loading accuracy as outlined on the work order.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies used by operations personnel.
• Trains other operations personnel.
• Must be able to perform any operations through those of Shift Supervisor.
• Ensures that all shifts are fully staffed.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a sterilization environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be willing to work established shifts.
• Should be proficient using a computer and be able to analyze data in a database/spreadsheet.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.
• Must have forklift driving experience.

Training Required

• Must complete all required training for a "Production Technician" outlined in the training manual.

Salary Range $48,500 - $74,000 per year, depending on experience.
