Title

Production Operator

Role & Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment, troubleshoot and adjust to ensure product and quality specifications are met.
  • Adhere to safety and housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing setting.
  • Record production data and other results as required.
  • Perform visual quality checks for product defects and cleanliness.
  • Apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
  • Support plant safety initiatives as needed.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships within the department and with other plant departments.
  • Assist with the implementation of CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, Visual Work Inspections, etc., as required.
  • Adapt to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, overtime, weekends, etc. with advanced notice where applicable.
  • Update LEAN metrics and support continuous improvement efforts using Lean Six Sigma methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Able to work safely in a manufacturing setting and follow plant safety and housekeeping rules.
  • Able to learn to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment, interpret verbal and written work instructions, and apply basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Able to take measurements to verify product is within specifications.
  • Able to learn basic maintenance skills and use common hand tools (hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, putty knife, etc.).
  • Effective teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills with all coworkers.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Periodic travel may be required during the training period (US/CAN).
Additional Information

Hourly Wage: $33.50
