Expected Salary Range $67,021 - $83,776

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

The Production Controller is responsible for carrying‑out the following functions, or as deemed necessary by the PRM of the AMO and the Customers PRMC of the AOC for the planning of scheduled maintenance tasks including heavy winter maintenance on aircraft operated by the company for the MAFF contract.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible to the PRM for the effective tracking and planning of maintenance activities as specified in accordance with the MPM & MCM.
  • Collect and / or record pertinent aircraft data such as hours, cycles, landings, etc. from the computer maintenance program to effectively forecast and manage all upcoming scheduled maintenance actions.
  • Monitoring the AMMS for required maintenance of customer aircraft as contracted.
  • Communicating with the AOC on any template edits that may be required.
  • Running weekly forecast reports.
  • Initialize scheduled maintenance packages, including tasks, and retrieve data from the computerized maintenance program for use in tracking and forecasting maintenance of the aircraft.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Engineer, initialize a hangar plan for maintenance based on maintenance required.
  • Responsible for setting up Planning meetings (Q‑Gate) for future maintenance and to review scheduling and hangar space plans with Chief Engineer.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts within the hangar plan and maintenance forecasted if they occur.
  • Collect information regarding scheduled parts required and provide to the purchaser.
  • Review completed maintenance packages received from contracted Approved Maintenance Organizations to ensure that all requested maintenance items have been completed.
  • Review and confirm the Maintenance Planning program has been accurately updated following completed maintenance activities.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in evaluating Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins as to applicability and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise Technical Records personnel and backfill when required.
  • Reports to the Chief Engineer.
  • Adheres to all workplace Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • Previous Planning, Technical records experience or a licensed AME
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Understanding the maintenance cycle of an aircraft
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations
  • Ability to plan years in advance for certain time life items
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel would be an asset
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
