This is a hybrid-eligible position, where Monday through Wednesday would be working in one of our offices, with Thursday and Friday eligible for work-from-home days. Office locations include: Reno (NV), Monterey (CA), Roseville (CA), Bakersfield (CA), Phoenix (AZ), and Spokane (WA).
Job Overview
The Product & Pricing Implementation Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of all rate, rule, form and product changes across Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Agriculture products. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant implementation of Rate Committee decisions and regulatory filings. The Manager will oversee a dedicated team of Business Analysts, Developers, and QA resources while partnering closely with Actuarial, Product, IT, Compliance, and QA.
This position requires a strong technical background in insurance rating, underwriting rules and forms, with the ability to interpret actuarial and product decisions and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has prior experience in actuarial, rating, product management or insurance system implementation and is able to operate independently with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Governance
- Lead and develop the Rate, Rule & Form Implementation Team, including Business Analysts, Developers, and QA.
- Own the full rate, rule and form implementation lifecycle: requirements ? build ? testing ? deployment.
- Ensure alignment with the anniversary effective dates.
- Establish and enforce governance standards, documentation practices, and quality controls.
Technical Execution
- Interpret Rate Committee decisions and Precis documents into actionable technical specifications.
- Oversee the development of rating logic, underwriting rules, and form configuration for PL, CL, and Ag.
- Work with developers to ensure solutions match pricing intent, are logically consistent, and meet regulatory requirements in both design and implementation.
- Review and approve all technical specifications and testing results before deployment.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison between Actuarial, Product, IT, and Compliance.
- Coordinate closely with IT to ensure the team operates on the latest code stack, is aligned with system upgrades, code freezes are considered, and there is orchestration with major releases.
- Lead pre-implementation reviews with all stakeholders to review scope, timing, required code merges, and release dependencies.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication of timelines and expectations across teams.
Process Improvement
- Build and continuously improve implementation workflows, documentation templates, coding standards, and handoff procedures.
- Integrate Artificial Intelligence and new technologies to improve implementation function.
- Analyze process bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase speed-to-market and decrease error rates.
- Drive transparency and predictability across the organization through clear metrics, dashboards, and reporting.

Minimum Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of experience in insurance, actuarial, rating, product management, or system implementation.
- Deep understanding of rating logic, underwriting rules, and insurance forms.
- Experience translating actuarial or form requirements into system specifications.
- Experience with configuration or implementation within rating systems (e.g. Guidewire PolicyCenter).
- Demonstrated leadership experience (team lead, project lead, or people management).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines rating.
- Prior work in Actuarial or Actuarial Support preferred (e.g., passed 1–3 exams, ACAS, etc.).
- Experience managing cross-functional teams or large implementation projects.
- Familiarity with IT development life cycles, branching strategies, and QA practices.
Salary Range
$95,825 - $158,111
The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
