As a student at PCL, you will have the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth. We are seeking a Procurement Student for our BC Region district within our Canadian Buildings Division, available for 4-12 months starting in January 2026. This position will report to the Purchasing Agent.

Responsibilities
  • Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
  • Expediting orders.
  • Shipping and receiving.
  • Stacking, counting and placing goods in accordance with the warehouse organizational plan.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and records.
  • Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
  • Providing equipment administration support.
  • Practicing PCL safety practices.
  • Assisting in all aspects, as is reasonably available, of procurement and equipment management activities.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with clients.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range: $19.88 - $24.38

PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
