Job summary

A prominent university in Canada is seeking a qualified individual to plan and teach swim lessons to children and adults. The candidate must possess NLS and Standard First Aid certifications, along with a high school diploma and relevant experience. This part-time position allows for approximately 2 hours of work each week, starting on January 3, 2026, and concludes on April 30, 2026. Hiring Unit: Athletics and Recreation

Position Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor the selected candidate will be expected to plan and teach quality swim lessons to children or adult clientele.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and create individualized lesson plans.
  • Ability to conduct one‑on‑one lessons based on the client's skills and swimming ability.

***Selected candidates must successfully pass their criminal background check in order to be considered for this position.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • NLS as well as Standard First Aid are required.
  • Two‑year coaching/teaching experience is.
  • Experience in coaching competitive swim is favorable, but not required.
