Are you passionate about privacy and data protection? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can make a real impact? Trulioo is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Privacy Analyst to join our growing team.
As a Privacy Analyst, you\'ll play a crucial role in safeguarding data and building customer trust. Reporting to the Privacy Program Manager, you\'ll be instrumental in shaping our privacy initiatives, translating complex legal and technological requirements into actionable strategies, and positioning privacy as a key competitive advantage. You\'ll collaborate closely with business partners, assess privacy risks, and ensure privacy by design is integrated into every product and service we offer.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Mount Pleasant office in Vancouver with three in-office days per week.
Respond to data subject access requests, including requests for access, correction, and deletion of personal information.
Handle customer inquiries regarding Trulioo’s privacy practices.
Maintain and update data inventories and records of processing activities.
Evaluate the privacy practices of third-party vendors to ensure alignment with Trulioo’s privacy standards.
Assist with annual SOC 2 and ISO audits by compiling necessary evidence for privacy controls.
Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness materials to Trulioo employees and business units.
Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for data processing activities involving personal information.
Support various aspects of the Privacy Program, including the management and monitoring of privacy processes and resources.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a privacy analyst, compliance analyst, or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of privacy frameworks, GRC (governance, risk & compliance) functions, or security certifications such as SOC 2 and ISO is an asset.
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation is a plus, but not required.
A collaborative spirit with strong self-motivation, capable of managing multiple work streams and ad-hoc tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with a meticulous focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Superior analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to achieve business objectives while navigating the complexities of privacy risk.
The ability to ask insightful questions and quickly grasp new business areas.
Strong written and oral communication skills to ensure effective engagement with all stakeholders.
