We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer with 8+ years of experience in software development. Interested candidates need to possess the ability to work on highly technical software projects that help power some of the largest budget movies in the world. Responsibilities

• Develop high quality code and collaborate on technical designs
• Work with a cross-functional, agile team to understand and refine functional requirements
• Ensure new code conforms to standards and meets feature specifications
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure that software is stable and reliable

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8+ years’ work experience
• Proficiency with Back-end Development (preferred Java)
• In-depth understanding and experience applying software design principles and patterns
• Proficient software development practices including testing (unit and functional) and code reviews
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience designing and working with APIs

Preferred Qualifications

• Video encoding and streaming technology knowledge
• Experience developing SaaS applications
• Industry training and certifications with AWS and related technologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps
• Experience in working with databases including both relational and NoSQL
• You actively speak up, collaborate, and contribute ideas to the team
• Experience working in a distributed cross-functional team environment
• Meticulous eye for detail and passion for beautiful user experiences

Responsabilités

• Développer un code de haute qualité et collaborer à la conception technique
• Travailler avec une équipe agile et interfonctionnelle pour comprendre et affiner les exigences fonctionnelles
• S'assurer que le nouveau code est conforme aux normes et répond aux spécifications fonctionnelles
• Participer à des revues de code par les pairs
• Rédiger et maintenir des tests automatisés pour garantir la stabilité et la fiabilité des logiciels
• Être capable de travailler dans le fuseau horaire de la Nouvelle-Zélande jusqu'à au moins 10h30 NZST (si vous postulez depuis l'extérieur de la Nouvelle-Zélande)

Qualifications minimales

• Licence ou master en informatique, génie logiciel ou dans un domaine connexe, avec au moins 8 ans d'expérience professionnelle
• Maîtrise du développement back-end (Java de préférence)
• Compréhension approfondie et expérience de l'application des principes et les modèles de conception de logiciels
• Maîtrise des pratiques de développement logiciel, y compris les tests (unitaires et fonctionnels) et les révisions de code
• Solides compétences en matière de dépannage technique
• Expérience dans la conception et l'utilisation d'API

Qualifications souhaitées

• Connaissance des technologies d'encodage et de streaming vidéo

• Formation et certifications industrielles avec AWS et les technologies connexes
