About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of our infrastructure strategy, automation pipelines, and system reliability. As a technical leader, you’ll drive DevOps best practices, mentor team members, and collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and high‑performing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
- Design and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud‑native microservices architecture
- Familiar with migration and tech stack upgrades in AWS
- Lead efforts to improve system observability, monitoring, and incident response
- Partner with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and high availability
- Implement security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance enforcement
- Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to optimize performance, scalability, and automation
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps and SRE team members
- Define SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs for critical services and ensure reliability goals are met
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles
- Strong experience AWS cloud platform - IAM, EC2, EKS, VPC, ELB, ALB, Autoscaling, Lambda
- Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault‑tolerant systems at scale
- Experience implementing CI/CD using tools like GitHub Actions
- Operational (e.g., HA/Backups) and NoSQL experience (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis)
- Proficiency in scripting or programming language in Python
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code – IaC - using Terraform, Pulumi
- Experience with security practices, compliance standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
