Job summary

A leading health centre in Vancouver is seeking a Primary Care Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will engage clients with HIV and other infectious diseases, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Candidates should have experience with diverse populations and be registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives. This role offers a salary range of CAD $41.42 to CAD $55.91 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent related experience in healthcare settings.
• Demonstrated ability in performing venipuncture.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented practices and harm reduction.

Responsibilities

• Assess and engage new clients/patients with the health care team.
• Document assessments and develop care plans.
• Facilitate team and case management meetings.

Skills

Knowledge of trauma-informed care

Effective communication

Triaging skills for physical health

Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team

Knowledge of wound care

Education

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

Completion of Point of Care HIV Testing course

BCCDC Immunization certificate
